The economy growth in China turns on
the red light to stop the increase of air pollution this year. The title of
this article said 20 times over the safe limit for human health that means,
according to WHO, each person can breathe 25 micrograms of PH2.5 (small
pollutant particles) per cubic meter but near Beijing the figures are 500
micrograms of PH2.5 per cubic meter. The high levels of air pollution affect
drastically the visibility on the streets in northern China.
The authorities declared an orange alert
in Beijing. Today the public disagreement to this health problem it’s present.
The government takes matters in and said that coal use in some areas is
restricted. Greenpeace East Asia crew sends a message above the walls of a
historic building in Beijing: “BLUE SKY NOW!”
Opinion
The problem keeps growing up. China
is not the only one focus on air pollution emissions however this is a normal
result of economic growth in any country on the world. The only way is taking
actions and following regulations and measures made for everybody.
The companies should consider
decrease the emissions of air pollution, looking for another electric sources
and think in the future, if there are not people in world then, who would be
the first consummators?. For me Greenpeace is a great movement but maybe is not
enough because they fight alone for the world’s health. We should hope that the
meetings in Beijing prove the importance of a world’s movement against the air
pollution.
