What will pollution do to us?

First of all this article talks about how air-pollution affects human body, the research show us British population who are victims of Sahara dust carried through the wind to UK joining to the pollutants emitted in the country.

UK has the maximum level of air-pollution; this affects everybody but especially children and older people. The advice for people with respiratory disease is: avoid strenuous physical activity, like go outside in the afternoon, less when levels are very high; but if symptoms like sore eyes, thickly cough and dry throat appears in “healthy” people they should stay at home as much as possible.

The mainly reason why air-pollution affects health is because we are breathing little particles which go deeper into our lungs and infect them. The effects in some cases appear in long-term but commonly appear in short-term. The results of pollution are: heart disease, stroke, lung cancer and acute respiratory infections in children.

The World Organization of Health -WHO- in his recent report calculated that seven million people died because of air-pollution in 2012. The main cities with high levels of air-pollution nowadays are Beijing and Mexico City.

Opinion

Nowadays air-pollution is a serious problem for the world health. Few years ago we don’t care about it but today many disease and deaths are being caused by air-pollution. The effects on human body are too dangerous, especially for our children.

Unfortunately we can’t stay always in home for that reason we are always exposed. We should take actions in order to reduce this problem in progress like

EU court rules UK government must clean up dangerous air pollution

The UK government is not doing a right job restricting the emissions of Nitrogen Dioxide Gas –NO2- in England territory. For that reason the European court of justice makes some new rules to regularize the air pollution in England. People could sue the government if they don’t accomplish the goals to improve the air quality. National court can demand government to have plans to reduce the levels of air pollution in England’s cities.

European court is forcing UK government to makes changes in order to clean up the air and providing secure places for people. The court established a deadline to get the improvement in quality air and UK government could not ask for more time.

Opinion

This is a radical decision from European court that could help to decrease health problems in UK population. We can see that Europe court is making efforts to clean up the air pollution and reestablish a good environment for its citizens.

Sadly sometimes it is necessary use extremes measures to start working on human benefit not only thinking about economy’s country situation, the government should first takes care of people, taking into account everybody would receive a good quality life.

Air pollution: youngsters, elderly and vulnerable urged to stay indoors

High levels of air pollution are causing children staying at home during their school’s day, in addition, cycling and running during rush hours in most affected regions by air pollution is not advisable. Older people and those who suffers heart or lung disease cannot do exercise outside, is preferable doing it indoors. Healthy people who exercise outdoors should use alternatives roads during rush hours.

The highest levels of air pollution take place in the south-east of England reaching the maximum of 10 in the scale. The advice works for worst affected parts of England that’s why some schools should take serious measures about the health of their students.

The British Lung Foundation warned about the hazard of high levels of air pollution causing health problems in people. Respiratory diseases like cough and pulmonary obstruction are the result of breathe pollutants. Some cases about affected children are being known this year.

Opinion

The children were affected as result of high levels of pollutants in England, especially students which suffer respiratory diseases. Ideas like keep them indoors during the recess gives good results but some children with asthma who usually walk to school less than a mile are having problems to breathe and they should increase the medication. I think that these measures would not work much longer maybe they will start to suffer another kind of disease like mental illness. They are kids and they need to go out.

On the other hand this article talks about healthy people that make exercise outdoors or goes to their jobs in bicycle or running. Stopping the physical exercise or avoid the use of alternatives transportation is not the advice, on the contrary, if was possible that almost all people leave their cars in home; they would contribute to world’s improvement.
