Air pollution: youngsters, elderly and vulnerable urged to stay indoors

High levels of air pollution are causing children staying at home during their school’s day, in addition, cycling and running during rush hours in most affected regions by air pollution is not advisable. Older people and those who suffers heart or lung disease cannot do exercise outside, is preferable doing it indoors. Healthy people who exercise outdoors should use alternatives roads during rush hours.

The highest levels of air pollution take place in the south-east of England reaching the maximum of 10 in the scale. The advice works for worst affected parts of England that’s why some schools should take serious measures about the health of their students.

The British Lung Foundation warned about the hazard of high levels of air pollution causing health problems in people. Respiratory diseases like cough and pulmonary obstruction are the result of breathe pollutants. Some cases about affected children are being known this year.

Opinion

The children were affected as result of high levels of pollutants in England, especially students which suffer respiratory diseases. Ideas like keep them indoors during the recess gives good results but some children with asthma who usually walk to school less than a mile are having problems to breathe and they should increase the medication. I think that these measures would not work much longer maybe they will start to suffer another kind of disease like mental illness. They are kids and they need to go out.

On the other hand this article talks about healthy people that make exercise outdoors or goes to their jobs in bicycle or running. Stopping the physical exercise or avoid the use of alternatives transportation is not the advice, on the contrary, if was possible that almost all people leave their cars in home; they would contribute to world’s improvement.
